General Information

The special geometry should be used when a non-standard geometry is installed and none of the predefined geometries can be used to calculate the correct geometry constants. The special geometry allows entering the desired geometry constants for strain and stress directly.

When the special geometry is used and the geometry constants depend on the stage position (gap), the constants are not corrected for gap changes during the experiment.

Equations

There are no equations for the special geometry.

Variables

Stress constant (Pa/N.m)

Strain constant (1/rad)

Normal stress constant (Pa/N)

  • NOTE: The constant must be calculated by the user for the special geometry.
